The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is alarmed about the large amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety here of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider stage developed for intervention encounters a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to empower the servicing of all consumers and boost access to sassa status Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
